I’ve been working so hard on sewing projects the last few weeks that I thought I’d pause to share a crochet work in progress! I saw this pattern for an African Flower ball on Pinterest a few months ago. I’ve done very few Granny square type projects but I loved the look of these and thought it would be a fun challenge. I was also curious how long it would take to make the ball. Alas…not something I could sell since they took too long for the price point but I’m sure my kids will love the finished project! It takes 12 hex flowers to make a ball.
I honestly can’t remember where I first saw these but I do remember checking out this free African hex soccer ball tutorial when I was first checking it out. Thanks to Crochetbug for sharing her experience for us all to benefit!
I’ve finished the pieces but now I need to figure out how to sew them together. Anyone out there have a good tutorial link? I’ve never done it before!
